June "Elaine" Zumwalt
My sympathy to all of June's family and friends. I knew June and Dickie from working at Amana Ref. I worked there for 31 1/2 yrs., retiring early due to health issues in 1998. I worked on Line 1 when I first started and they were both working on that line. They made a point to make me feel welcome and showed me the "ropes" so to speak. They were very kind and helpful to me. I always liked Dickie and June....they were nice ladies and always had a smile for everyone. My condolescences to all who knew June. We were all sad to hear of Elaine's passing. Both she and Dickie were friends of mine for years and I thought of them as "aunts" as well. Elaine always had a smile, a hug and a cold beer,ha! waiting for me when I came back to Cedar Rapids to visit. Elaine was loved by all of us and will be missed.
