Paul A. "Paulie" Johnson, 62, of Cedar Rapids died May 16, 2006 in Unionville, Mo. following a sudden illness. Services 3 PM Saturday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Rev. Dave Loy of Community of Christ Church will officiate. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 PM at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include his loving wife 41 years Sandra, a son Randy Chris Johnson, a daughter Rhonda Keith Dye, a brother Larry Margaret Johnson all of Cedar Rapids; brother in law Kenny Mehrhoff, and sister in law Sharon Henshaw both of Centerville. Also surviving are his beloved grandchildren Drew and Ally Johnson, Katelyn and Thomas Dye all of Cedar Rapids, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, sisters in law Mary Johnson and Joyce Mehrhoff, and brothers in law Stanley Thomas and Jerry Henshaw.

Paul A. Johnson was born October 24, 1943 at Beaumont, TX the beloved son of William K. and Emily B. Guillote Johnson. He was united in marriage to Sandra Thomas on September 5, 1964 in Centerville, Iowa. He was employed by Blahnik Construction for over 32 years. He just recently retired last year from Blahnik. Paul, or "Paulie" as many knew him, was a true craftsman and artist of all types of concrete work. He was a member of Teamsters # 238, and Laborers # 43. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Paul's name.
