Betty Jane Joyner, 76, of 2345 Rompot Street SE, died at St. Luke's Hospital, Thursday, April 6, 2006, after a long illness. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Robert Pleiness of Good News Baptist Church. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and after 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel.

Survivors include her husband Donald, of 57 years; two sons, Roger Carol Joyner of Anamosa and Mark Christine Joyner of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Mary Richard Stoddard of Marion and Linda Jerry Baack of Anderson, SC; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Betty was born March 24, 1930 in Cedar Rapids to Henry and Grace Welsch Murphy. She married Donald L. Joyner there on September 21, 1947.

Betty was a member of Good News Baptist Church.
