Much love and prayers to Casey’s family at this difficult time from his All Saints and Regis classmates who are very heavy hearted with this news. A quiet, sweet guy, whom we all loved.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Casey's family. I will always remember Casey's quiet, yet highly competent nature. His impact on the City of Cedar Rapids and Kirkwood Community College will be both lasting and beneficial. It was my sincere pleasure to know and work with him.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Casey's death. When I was director of the Indian Creek Nature Center Casey was my key contact with the City for many items. I found him friendly, cooperative, efficient and enthusiastic about our town. His family is in my thoughts. Rich Patterson

I had the absolute pleasure of working for Casey during my tenure at the City. We worked through the flood of 08 and the aftermath together. As I told him when I left the City he was the best person I have ever worked for/with. I will hold a high level of respect for Casey, what he did for the City and what he did for us all as a boss. Rest in Peace my friend I will always respect and appreciate you.

My heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies go out to the Drew family during this difficult time. Eman Mohamed

My heart, thoughts and prayers to Casey’s young family. Casey’s impact was felt many, his kindness and leadership was extraordinary, nothing but respect.. RIP..

We were sad to hear the news of Casey’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Andrea, Cooper, Jean and the rest of the family.

Casey was smart, kind and humble. He led by example, and will be missed by everyone who knew him. He left us far too soon, but we were blessed to know him and work with him.

Casey was a great guy, extremely bright, and very dedicated to Cedar Rapids. He was critical in navigating his home town through two natural disasters. He was a great professional friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his full family.

I will never forget Casey. He was brilliant as well as being an honest and decent man full of integrity. My heart breaks for Andrea and Cooper that they have to go through life without their beloved Casey. I know his time with them was some of the best of his entire life. The world has lost a special man. My prayers and condolences go to the entire family as they move through this difficult time.

I’m sorry for you loss. A life taken to early Casey was a wonderful person and well respected. I worked with him at the CRFD.
