Memorial
June Ann Mengler, 84, died Sunday, November 10, 2019. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 15 at Echo Hill Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 14.
June was born on February 24, 1935 in Cedar Rapids to Karl and Doris (Yetter) Thompson. She attended Coe College and was married to Orin Mengler at Central Park Presbyterian Church on September 18, 1954. She worked in the insurance industry, retiring from United Fire Group. June was a member of Echo Hill Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include June's children, Barbara K. (Robert) Mittman of Nevada and Steven (Paula) Mengler of Belle Plaine; 2 brothers, Guerin (Mary Kay) Thompson and Byron (Sheryl) Thompson; three grandchildren, Katie (Austin) Fortsch, Matthew Mengler, and William (Haley) Mengler; and one great-granddaughter, Regan Fortsch. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
A memorial fund has been established by the family.
