Kelly Marie Loveless, 69 of Center Point Iowa, went home to be with the Lord September 22, 2018, after a lengthy battle with Hydrocephalus and dementia.  She was surrounded in her home by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Robert Loveless, and her daughters, Rachel Marie Saunders and Robin Marie Morgan.  She was born January 29, 1949 at St. Luke’s Hospital to Roy Wesley and DeElda Violet Andrews. While residing in Toddville Iowa, she attended and graduated from Center Point Schools where she met the love of her life and best friend, Ronnie. Together they wed February 11, 1967 in Center Point Iowa, where they made their home and raised their children.

Kelly received her Business Associates degree from Kirkwood Community College.   She worked at Vincent Metals for many years, and also as an accountant, bookkeeper, office manager and buyer for several area businesses.  Kelly was a gifted pianist and seamstress, she taught music lessons and provided sewing services all while working fulltime and raising her family.  She may have had a busy life, but she never fell short on making one feel like they were her number one care and priority.  After Kelly raised her daughters, she decided to make her dream of music come true by teaching piano, keyboard, brass, string, and voice fulltime.  Music was her soul and she shared it with so many children and adults.  Devoting her time to Alice and Center Point United Methodist churches and the First Christian Church of Center Point, Kelly directed children’s choirs, holiday plays, and a very successful Kid’s Club. As well as in her home, she taught at West Music and brought joy to nursing homes by having her students perform in recitals.  In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, camping, researching family through genealogy, crafting and she never lost her desire to learn new things. There are not enough words to say how caring and gifted Kelly was, but those who knew her will always remember.

Kelly was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  She has left a legacy of her teachings in music, faith, God, and humanity behind that will live on through generations to come.  She is now reunited in heaven with her father and mother, Roy and DeElda Andrews.  For the Lord has gained an angel, our loss of Kelly will be missed by so many. May her presence be felt for all of eternity and never forgotten.

Because of the outstanding compassion and care in hospice and allowing her to pass away peacefully in her home surrounded by her husband and children, memorial donations may be directed to UnityPoint Hospice.

A celebration of life will be held at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home,  4200 1st Ave NE, Cedar Rapids from 4:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday September 25, 2018. Interment will be held at a later date.
