Virginia J. Lewis, 88, of Hiawatha, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.
Services will be held at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Sunday, November 25, 2018, 6:00 pm. Visitation will be one hour prior at 5:00 pm at the Chapel Stateroom. Private burial the following day at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Virginia was born March 26, 1930 in Hardy, Nebraska to Ira Everett and Ruth Stenson. After graduating Hardy High School, she attended the University of Nebraska where she met the love of her life who happened to be the brother of her roommate. On June 18, 1950 she was united in marriage to Wayne A. Lewis in Hardy, Nebraska. They lived and loved together for 65 years before he went on ahead to heaven.
Virginia is survived by her three daughters, Ann(Bruce)Erickson of Sandy, Utah, Denise(Scot)Osborne of Tucson, Arizona, and June(Kent)Reeves of Marion, Iowa; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a brother, Norman Stenson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, her parents and one brother, Willard Stenson.
