David Scott Spiekermeier, 59, of Robins entered Heaven on Thursday, July 12, 2018. A visitation will be on Sunday, July 15, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A memorial service in remembrance of David will be on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 1 P.M. at New Covenant Bible Church. A visitation will also be held an hour prior to services on Monday. A private family graveside will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dave was born on August 22, 1958 in Fargo, ND, the son of Donald and Donna (Roney) Spiekermeier. He attended school in Enderlin, ND, graduating in 1976. Dave married Pauline Groth on April 11, 1981 in Enderlin, ND. He graduated from North Dakota State University in 1983. Working as a software engineer for 35 years, he retired from Rockwell Collins in 2018. In his free time, he enjoyed riding bicycles, being a master griller, and listening to jazz music. Above all he loved spending time with his family and friends. His faith in Jesus Christ gave him strength and encouragement.
Left to cherish Dave’s memories are his wife of 37 years Pauline, son Jacob Spiekermeier of Cedar Rapids, grandson Trai Jones Jr., brother Lynn (wife Jan) Spiekermeier of Apache Junction, AZ, sister Paula (husband Dan) Aspelund of Shakopee, MN, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by his daughter Sarah Jones, his mother Donna Ludtke, father Donald Spiekermeier, and stepfather Robert Ludtke.
