Memorial
Ralph F. “Bud” Langhoff Jr., 79 of Marion died at his home on Wednesday January 17, 2018. Services at 1:00 PM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 5 PM on Sunday.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Darlene; a daughter Faith (Rick) Martin of Alburnett; two sons Jeff of Walker and Brad (Denise) of Marion; and a sister Carol (Dick) Rowley of Stone City. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Chuck
Bud was born on July 8, 1938 in Cedar Rapids the son of Ralph and Irma Happel Langhoff Sr. He married Darlene R. Williams on June 13, 1959 in Marion.
Bud was the owner and operator of Langhoff Log and Lumber Inc. for over 56 years. He was a member of the Linn County 4-H, Hillsdale Hoosiers, an FFA member, and the Farm Bureau. He was an avid and skilled wood worker and enjoyed the trip to Alaska with his wife Darlene.
Bud will forever be remembered as a hardworking and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him. A memorial fund has been established in Bud’s name.
