Ernest H. Foss Jr., 69, of Mount Vernon passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids surrounded by family. A visitation will be on Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm at the Chapel of Memories Stateroom. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11 AM at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.
Ernest H. Foss Jr. was born on April 16th 1948, the son of Ernest H. Sr and Dorothy (Schunamen) Foss. He worked at KCC for several years. He enjoyed disc golfing, going to grandchildren’s activies, helping anyone who needed help, like to joke with people, and most of all enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Riley Marie; and brother, Al Foss.
Left to cherish Ernest’s memories are his wife, Georgia Foss of Mount Vernon; two children, Ernest (Stacie) Foss III of Harlan, and Robert “Bob” (Michelle) Foss of Swisher; three grandchildren, Joseph Foss, Austin Foss and Nick Foss.
