Rita Mae (Fessler) Bremer, 85, of Solon, passed away Monday, February 12 2018, at Mercy Hospice, Iowa City, Iowa, surrounded by her loving family.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018, 1:00 pm, at the Chapel of Memories, Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, from 5-7 pm, at the Stateroom, Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Rita was born April 12, 1932, in Earlville, Iowa, to John J and Rose (Roling) Fessler. On September 14 1949, she was united in marriage to Robert J Bremer to which four children were born. Survivors include, Richard (Marilyn) Bremer, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Ronald (Dianna) Bremer, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Rose (Loren) Moes, of Anamosa, Iowa, Robert (Maryann) Bremer, of Iowa City, Iowa. Seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. A sister, Joan Lasche.
Rita was preceded in death, by her husband, Robert, sister Catherine Reittinger, and brother, Herbert (Herb) Fessler.
Memorial donations will go to Mercy Hospice, Iowa City.
