Memorial
Dale R. Cooling, 81 of Solon died Monday February 12, 2018 at his home. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date. There will be a visitation at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 to 4 PM. Following the visitation there will be a luncheon at the Cedar Memorial Family Center.
Survivors include two sons, Kenneth of Solon and Daniel (Diana) of Houghton, a daughter Lynda Law; two step-daughters, Julie Kuhlman and Gina Sorenson; five brothers Garol, Vernon, Lyle, Lloyd and Duane; one sister Margaret; two former wife’s Marie and Janice; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
Dale was born on April 29, 1936 in Clemons, Iowa the son of Eldon and Julia Borton Cooling. He was a millwright at Quaker Oats and retired from there after more than 45 year of service.
Dale was an avid fisherman and enjoyed traveling. He was an accomplished carpenter and enjoyed the time spent with his friends and beloved family. He will forever be remembered for being a wonderful father, grandfather brother and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
