Susan J. Freese 63, of Springville died Wednesday August 15, 2018 at her mother’s home in Cedar Rapids. Services at 10:30 AM on Saturday at the Springville Presbyterian Church. Rev. Dave Snyder will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friend may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM on Friday and at the Church after 9:30 AM on Saturday.
Survivors include a daughter Monica (Ryan) Hanson of Boone, a son Brian of Nevada, Iowa, her mother Rose Schwichtenberg of Cedar Rapids as well as many close friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father.
Sue was born on September 27, 1954 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Howard and Rose Light Schwichtenberg. She worked at St. Luke’s Hospital for 15 years and most recently at OB-GYN Associates for over 20 years.
Sue was an active, faithful member of the Springville Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed adventures with her mother, trips with her friends throughout the United States and had a great love and compassion for animals. She was a wonderful daughter, mother and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to the Cedar Valley Humane Society or Last Hope Animal Rescue in Sue’s name.
