Ty Roland Schuler 50, of Cedar Rapids died of natural causes in his home on Thursday, September 7, 2017.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 11, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church officiated by Reverend Phil Jorgensen. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ty is survived by his wife, Kristi Brown Schuler of 24 years, his son Trey and daughter Kayti all of Cedar Rapids; parents, Chester Schuler (Judy) of Waterloo and Valerie (Laney) Poyner of Cedar Falls IA.
Ty was born on March 20, 1967 in Waterloo, IA to Chester Schuler and Valerie Schuler Poyner. He graduated from Cedar Falls High School and the University of Northern Iowa. He was employed at Osco Drug/CVS for 21 years. He married Kristi Brown April 9, 1994 and were blessed with two children. Ty was a great family man and loving father. Ty was deeply involved in his children's activities. He enjoyed sports, fishing in Canada, and his friends. His family and friends will always remember him as a fun loving man.
