Our families have been friends since Benton St. & our Mom's did everything from playing cards, to cruising, to travel to wonderful places, riding camels, parasailing & always having fun. Your family to us!! I know you'll miss your Mom but you did really make her happy & she loved living in your new home. Your a good son!! Hugs!!!

Our Moms were Best Friends for 50 years & although they were different in so many ways they still had a "Ball" together !! They played cards for fun , were in many Bridge Tournaments, saw lots of movies, went on cruises & went on amazing trips( even rode camels, parasailed & enjoyed it all). Your Mom was always smiling & she loved living with you in your new home. You made sure she was taken good care of & she loved going places with you. You were a very good son!! I know you'll miss her but your the reason she was with us for so long ( The 2 gals that helped you were blessings !). Hugs from Dave & Me!!!

This message is for Ralph. We were your neighbors and good friends to the south when you lived at 2139 N. Park in Grand Island, NE. I think you were closer in age to my brother, Jeff. My Dad, Bud Meininger, passed away in 1975 at the age of 51 from a heart attack. Mom, Eileen Meininger, is in a nursing home in GI due to effects of a stroke. I actually remember your parents and have thought of them since they moved back to Cedar Rapids. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother. Looks like she lived life to the fullest.
