Memorial

Patricia J McKee, 88, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on November 30, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital.  A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 7th, 2017 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.  Visitation will be held one hour before the service, beginning at 10:00 AM at the chapel.  Inurnment will follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. 

She is survived by her beloved husband, of 65 years, Donald McKee of Cedar Rapids; three children, Marsha (Tony) McCall of Crowley, Texas; Mike McKee of Naples, Florida; and Mark (Donna) McKee of Crosby, Texas; five grandchildren, Kristin, Michael, Christopher, Sarah and Matthew McKee.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  

Patricia was born October 17, 1929 in Kansas City, Missouri the daughter of William and Lilla Hunsaker.  She was united in marriage to Donald McKee on January 26, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri.  To this union, three children were born. Patricia was a homemaker and a devoted caregiver to her family.  She was employed at the Welcome Wagon of Cedar Rapids, which connects new movers to local businesses in the community.  Patricia was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, PEO and was on the board of directors for Tanager Place.  She earned the Emeriti Award for her involvement with Tanager Place.   She and Donald spent their retirement years in Cedar Rapids and Florida.  They loved boating on the Mississippi river.  She had a smile for everyone she met and will be missed by all.
