David L. Troester, 70, of Vinton passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Manor Care in Cedar Rapids. Visitation: Wednesday from 4 PM to 6 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services: Friday at 10:30 AM at Oakland Church of the Nazarene (Cedar Rapids) with Pastor Dave King officiating. Entombment with military rites will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
David Lee Troester was born May 28, 1947 to Lester and Jessie Decker Troester in Guttenberg, Iowa. He proudly served in the Vietnam War with the US Marine Corps and the US Navy. David was united in marriage to June Ringler on March 4, 1969 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He is survived by his children, David (Debbie) Troester of Cedar Rapids; Dyanna (Jeremiah Thompson) Burhman of Toledo; Kathryn (Chuck) Behm of Ely; brothers, Dayle of Manchester; Harley of Dickeyville, WI; Richard of Shellsburg; and 10 grandchildren.
David was preceded in death by his parents; wife, June; and brother, Jerome Troester.
