Stacey R. McDaniel Stougard, 42 of Cedar Rapids died Thursday May 11, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Memorial services at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 8 PM on Monday.
Survivors include her husband Troy; three daughters; Ashley Block of Urbana, Alissa Garthwaite of Marion, Katelyn Akers of Cedar Rapids; her parents James and Marlene McDaniel of Marion; and a sister Stephanie (Brandon) Stripling of Marion. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Lance, Noah, Jayden, Zoey and Bentley; nieces and nephews; Johnathon, Jordan, Jessica and Gabriella. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Ernest P. and Barbara Wolfe.
Stacey was born on May 6, 1975 in Iowa City the daughter of James and Marlene Wolfe McDaniel. She married Troy Stougard in August of 1998 in Cedar Rapids.
Stacey worked in the hospitality industry for several years. She enjoyed going to the casinos, crocheting, watching movies and the time she spent with her beloved family especially her grandchildren. Stacey was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
