My sympathies to the Hiemstra family. My thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry to hear of Roland's passing. I and my family have fond memories of the family get togethers on the farm when I and my sister were young. Roland was a great man and a greater family man. He will be missed. Let us know if there is anything we can do.

I met the Hiemstra family when Roxanne and I were in 7th grade and became best friends . Many over nights happened after that. Family dinners were so much fun! Roland and Pat was always up for kidding around and making me feel a part of the group. Show up unannounced and if work was in progress he'd put me in the fields pulling weeds with everyone else. My FAVE memories are, angry goats chasing me, pulling weeds, hanging out in the hay loft, chasing snakes in the pasture, tending to the rabbit hutch, the time the pickup started to sink in the huge pond as Rolly was testing to see if it was safe to ice skate, and the year of PUPPIES!!!!! I LOVE The Hiemstra's! Rest in Peace Rolly til we ALL meet again...and we will!!!!

Rock and all the family, So sorry to hear of your loss. You have our sympathy. I'll put money on he was one of those farmers that was a great guy. Stick together and give me a call if you need a hand.
