Madora Louise Jensen, 92, of Williamsburg, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg. Funeral Service: 10:30 am Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg, IA with visitation beginning at 9:00 am. Burial: 2:15 pm at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.

Madora was born July 2, 1924, the daughter of William and Christine (Trimpe) Heitshusen, in Hilton Township, Iowa County, Iowa. She was baptized July 27, 1924 by Reverend E.F. Hempel at Trinity Lutheran Church in Conroy, Iowa. She was confirmed April 10, 1938, also by Reverend E.F. Hempel at Trinity Lutheran Church. Madora chose as her memory verse, 1st Corinthians 6:20, “Ye are bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 

Madora graduated May of 1942 from Hilton Consolidated School, Conroy, Iowa. On September 4, 1949, she was married to Arnold G. Jensen from Luzerne, Iowa. They were married by Reverend Ray Fechner at Trinity Lutheran Church in Conroy. She was employed at Froning Grain and Lumber in Luzerne, where they lived for a time. They moved to Cedar Rapids and she worked twenty-seven years at WMT Radio and TV. Madora was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg, Iowa since moving to Highland Ridge. 

Survivors include her sister, Florence Gardner of Williamsburg; two nephews, Randy (Kathy) Koehn, and Kurt (Susan) Koehn both of Webster; Jensen nieces and nephews, Alice (Ray) Junge, Daisy Roehr, Carolyn (Larry) Sayers, and Wayne (Betty) Tatge. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and sisters, Alice Heitshusen, and Marcella Koehn.
