Leo E. “Butch” Milota, 80 of Cedar Rapids died Wednesday May 24, 2017 at Meadow View. Services at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel. Burial with military rites at Czech National Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel from 4 to 8 PM on Friday.

Survivors include his wife, Linda, two daughters Tricia (Dan) Milota and Dana (Steven) McNeil all of Cedar Rapids; a son Andy (Debra) of San Ramon, California and a sister Shirley Jones of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by two grandchildren Sarah and Nicholas. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Rhonda, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. 

Butch was born on November 30, 1936 in Cedar Rapids the son of Rudolph and Mary Papacek Milota. He Married Linda Haltom on May 5, 1962 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Butch was a tool and die maker at Square D and retired from there after 43 years of service.

Butch enjoyed the Chicago Cubs, and watching Western Movies. He proudly served in the Navy and enjoyed going to his L.S.T Reunions with his wife Linda. Butch was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
