Gladys Mary Novak, 76, of Coralville, died Tuesday May 16, 2017 in Windmill Manor Nursing Home. Services: 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until service time. Brother David Harkin will officiate.

Survivors include her children; Brian (Joanie) Damon of Alabama, Loretta (Christopher) Tesar of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Kathy Jo (Paul Henchelin) Wenndt of Delaware, Iowa. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Cecil and Gregory Novak and her brother, Robert  Brake. 

Gladys was born on February 11, 1941 in Lowell Massachusetts. She is the daughter of Arthur and Johanna (Brake) Scott. Gladys was a homemaker and a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses where she was very active in her faith. Gladys enjoyed reading, genealogy, crosswords and playing cards. She also loved French culture and eating out. Gladys will always be remembered for her great wit and sense of humor and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
