While I can't be there in person, I will definitely be thinking of you all today. In honor of the love for cats that Carolyn, Lois and Michael all share, I've made a contribution to C & W Rustic Hollow Shelter in Carolyn's name. Much Love from Salzburg, Beth

I do want to extend my deepest sympathy to you Lois and all your family. I taught school many years ago at Hiawatha Elementary. Through my job their I met your father, Merl. He greeted me every school day with a warm smile and a short visit in my classroom. It was through your father that I eventually met your mother and so enjoyed visiting her at Younkers for years. She, too, had a sincere smile and a loving heart. After I left Hiawatha we continued to exchange Christmas cards and short visits in the store. She was indeed a friend to many, but I felt richer for her being mine as well. God bless.

Carolyn was such a faithful servant for her Lord all of her life! It was amazing to see her arrive for Church every single Sunday morning, no matter what the weather! She was a big part of our Church family at Kenwood Park UMC. We will sincerely miss her smiling face, and her love of cookies with her coffee during Fellowship Time together!

To the Family of Carolyn Blair, Carolyn was one of my favorite customers at the grocery store I worked at. I didn't realise how old she must have been when she shopped there. She really lead a full & wonderful life. She was always cheerful & so full of energy. As I got to know her better, she shared wonderful memories of a young Cedar Rapids & of Blair's Ferry Rd, her family's name sake. She'd come into the store at least once a week after her hair appt. If I didn't see her for awhile I worried about her. I think I might have also shopped at the Younkers when she worked there, but I really didn't get to know her well until I took early retirement from Collins & worked part-time at the grocery store 11 yrs ago. Carolyn touched many lives in her 101 years & will be greatly missed by us all. Love to you & may you all feel comfort in your memories of time spent with her. . . Chris

Family and friends. Please except my deepest condolences during this difficult time. I hope you can find comfort when you read Acts 24:15 and Psalms 37:29.

Extending our sympathy to Carolyn's family, We were neighbors on Blairsferry Rd. for many years, and always enjoyed visiting with Carolyn, Lois, and Michelle. Will surely miss her!

I will be unable to attend the funeral as I have volunteer obligations then. I met Carolyn through Rider's Club. She always had such a cheerful outlook. Her stories about her early life and Cedar Rapids in earlier years were very interesting. She will be missed. Dick Panosh

Lois, read your Mother's obituary this morning. What a long, fulling life she had at 101 years. I will be unable to attend the funeral but wanted to extend my sympathy to you and your family. Sharon extends her sympathy to you also. Blessings.

While I hate to admit that it has been lots of years since I last saw Carolyn, I remember coming to the house a often during high school to see her granddaughter Michelle (we were close friends). Carolyn was very warm and friendly and I enjoyed seeing her as much as I enjoyed spending time with Michelle. She will be greatly missed!

Michelle and Lois - I'm so sorry for your loss.
