Jean A. Thorson died Monday March 13, 2017. Services at 1:00 PM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Entombment in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday.
Survivors include two sons, Martin (Rita), and Jonathan (Connie); two daughters, Valeri (Terry) Thomas, and Robin (Steve) Keep. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, and two brothers, William and Charles.
Jean was born on April 20, 1931 in Luzerne, the daughter of William and Neva Steffa Jahnke. She married Martin L. Thorson on June 26, 1952 in Van Horne.
Jean worked at Collins Credit Union for many years. She was past president of the American Legion Auxiliary. Jean was an avid reader; enjoyed gardening, going to the races at Hawkeye Downs and especially the time spent with her beloved family and friends.
