Jeremy L. Curd, 42, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday June 24, 2017 from a sudden illness. Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where visitation begins at 9:30 a.m. Elder Haywood Stowe will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his children, Kaya Curd of Highland, Indiana, Josephine Curd-Cortez of Las Vegas, Nevada, his parents, Richard Sr. and Katherine Cook of Cedar Rapids, his aunts Linda Schorg(second mom) of Cedar Rapids, Jean Schnell of Cedar Rapids, and Debbie Lewis of Marion.  His siblings; Jerome (Amy) Curd of Alabama, Richard Jr. (Doria) Cook. of Cedar Rapids, Rhonda Barker of Detroit, Michigan, Jason Davidson of Missouri, and Jeremiah Davidson of Missouri, Step-Sisters Kim Davidson-Strehlau of Missouri and Christina Davidson of Missouri. His Grandfather William Mosby of Stone City and a host of nieces, nephew and relatives. Jeremy had many fishing buddies also.  

He was preceded in death by his paternal father, Jerry Curd, his grandmother Alice Mosby, Grandfather, Robert Schorg and Paternal grandparents Erma and Richard Curd.

Jeremy was born June 23, 1975 in Columbia, Missouri, the son of Jerry and Katherine (Schorg) Curd. 
Jeremy was an Assembly Operator for Rockwell in Coralville and served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed cooking for friends and family, Kayaking, basketball and listening to music. His favorite pastime was fishing. Jeremy was a kind, compassionate soft-hearted guy who was always helping friends and family and will be greatly missed by all. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in honor of Jace Curd, Jeremy's Nephew.
