Darlene Connie Eves, 69, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Friday July 21, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospital. A visitation will be held Tuesday July 25, 2017 from 4 to 7 PM at the Chapel State Room. A Memorial Service will be held 1PM Wednesday July 26 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A Celebration of Life will also be held at a later date which will be published in the Milestone.
Darlene was born March 3, 1948 to Darrell and Josephine Eves in Cedar Rapids. She retired in 2008 after working forty years at Square D. Darlene grew up partially in Florida and enjoyed her time with friends and family there. She loved horses and had several growing up. Movies, boating, skiing, fishing, bowling and playing the slots at the casino were all favorite pastimes. Many memorable times were spent at their cabin on the Cedar River. Her joy was her three weenie dogs; Isabella, Charlotte and Jasmine.
Darlene is survived by two sisters; Sally (Paul) Larson and Carole (Blaine) Turner, her soulmate, Nancy Jennings, her loving son Andrew Jennings and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents a brother-in-law Dave Turner.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
