Carmen Stevens, 31, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, July 17, 2017 at her home. Funeral Service: 11:00 am Monday, July 24, 2017 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held from 2-5 pm Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carmen was born August 18, 1985, the daughter of Joseph and Martha (Walker) Stevens. She was a member of Redemption Ministries in Cedar Rapids. Her faith and worshiping God were very important to her. Carmen was an extremely giving person with an infectious laugh. She was also very neat and organized. More than anything, she was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her three children, Diveon Stevens, Kamrien Stevens, Joessiah Stevens; six sisters, Elizabeth (Maurice) Coleman, Berlinda (Kenneth) Owens, Mary (Kenny) Horton, Maxine (Derek) Thornton, Shar (Glynn) Jones, Nicole (Cherokee) French; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be set aside for Carmen’s children.
