Marvin was born on June 30, 1946 the youngest son of Luetta (Colson) and Joe Divis.  Marvin was a hard worker. He worked several years at First Avenue Plymouth and Kieck’s Clothing Store.  In 2013 he retired after 22 years of working for Hy-Vee and Drugtown on 32nd Street.  He was honored with his photo featured on the side of a Hy-Vee delivery truck.

Marvin knew everyone and would greet you with the biggest smile.  He would help anyone in need and was always willing to lend a hand.  He loved watching NASCAR and was a big Richard Petty fan.  He loved the Hawkeyes and Mickey Mouse.  He was quite the artist, he painted, cross stitched, and drew.  He loved to sit with you and put challenging puzzles together.

He is survived by his sister Betty (Ron) Stockman; brother Bob (Ronay) Divis; nieces Marilyn, Connie, Stephanie and nephew Chad; his great nephew Chris; great-nieces Samantha, Megan, Alissa and Treasure; great-great nephews Ethan, Collin and Jaylen; and great-great nieces Eliana, Eden, and Arabella.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Luetta Divis; his brother Larry Divis; and nephew Roger Stockman.

A memorial fund has been established in Marvin’s name.
