Agnes W. Lehmkuhl, 91, of Cedar Rapids, passed away January 1, 2017 at Oldorf Hospice House surround by her family.

Funeral service will be held 11AM, Thursday, January 5th at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories.  Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4th from 4-7PM at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Burial will take place following the funeral at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.  

Agnes was born November 11, 1925 to Leslie and Emma (Doupnik) Wise in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  She graduated from Roosevelt High School in Cedar Rapids and attended Anderson College where she studied music.  Agnes was united in marriage to James Lehmkuhl on October 18, 1952.    Before staying at home teaching her children valuable life skills, Agnes was employed as a phone operator and supervisor for Northwestern Bell.  Agnes was involved in Music Ministries at Ellis Park Church of God for most of her life.

Agnes is survived by her loving children: Marlys “Marty” (Ed) Dailey, Tom (Diane) Lehmkuhl, Paul (Michelle) Lehmkuhl, and Carl Lehmkuhl; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James, her parents, and 2 brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Oldorf Hospice House.
