Memorial

Leota N. Cihla, 92 of Mt. Vernon died Saturday August 19, 2017 at the Hallmark Care Center. Graveside services at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include nieces, nephews, and one sister-in-law. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, 2 brothers and one sister.

Leota was born on August 23, 1924 in Paralta the daughter of Robert and Roxy Noah Barrett. She graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1943. Leota married Joe Cihla on October 5, 1989 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Joe passed away in 2004.

Leota was a supervisor at Rockwell and retired from there after 39 years of service. She was a lifelong member of the Mt. Vernon Auxiliary. Leota enjoyed the time spent with her friends and family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
