Judith Rae North, 78, of Vinton, died Thursday, August 17, 2017 at her home in Vinton. Memorial Service: 11:00 am Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Believers in Grace Fellowship in Marion, IA with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Judy was born October 23, 1938, the daughter of Raymond and Phyllis (Stocks) Allison, in Charles City, IA. She graduated from Charles City High School in 1956, where she was a cheerleader for four years. On February 22, 1958, she was married to Robert North. Judy worked as a cashier for Hy-Vee in Cedar Rapids for over twenty years. She also worked for MCI as a long-distance operator. Judy proudly volunteered for Mercy and St. Luke’s Hospital, having logged over five thousand hours. She was a member of Believers in Grace Fellowship, where she became a born again Christian.
Survivors include her husband, Robert North Sr.; daughter, Leslie (Pastor David) Kebschull; son, Robert (Cindi) North Jr.; seven grandchildren, Lauren (Luke) Kebschull, Whittney Kebschull, Micah Kebschull, Joel (Sarah) North, Benjamin North, Allison North, Emily (Alex) Steffen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Barbara Page.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family in memory of Judy.
