My condolences to Joan and family. I always enjoyed talking with Dave when he'd stop in at Divine Engineering for one thing or another. He was a great guy.

I'd like to extend my condolences to the Brunius family. As neigbors on the farm I have fond memories of David. I enjoyed my conversations with him. May the family find peace and comfort at this time.

I worked with Dave at archaeological sites and was always happy to see his bright yellow pickup pull in. Whether chatting about his ancestor doing the original surveys of Iowa or his time flying over France he was a good fellow to work with.

I will certainly miss Dave - he was a long time volunteer with the Linn County archaeological studies and we shared many an adventure along the way! He was always good company and interested in everything. He lived a long and good life. He will be greatly missed! My sympathies to all of his loved ones.

I'd like to extend my condolences to the Brunius family. I got to know Dave while volunteering for archaeological field work in Linn County. Dave was one of the "regulars" who worked with Leah Rogers on many sites around LInn County, and it was such a pleasure to share time with Dave. He was a very pleasant person to be around and he always had interesting stories to share.

Joan, Robert, Gail and Mark sorry for your loss. Our sincerest condolences to you and your families. My mom Kathy Hanson also sends her sympathy.

I worked with Dave at Cpi Sales for about 20 years He was a great guy to work with. He helped me with lots of problem industrial pump applications especially in the Sugar industry. Dave was respected by all of the customers he worked with. Years after his retirement customers would ask about him. After his retirement I enjoyed visiting with Dave and Joan on many occasions at the Wilson avenue HyVee. I considered Dave to be both a mentor and a friend. My condolences to Joan and family.

My condolences to Joann and family. I got to know Dave with my first job punching a time-clock at Waconia Sorghum Company. In his position as working supervisor he was to me the most likable fair-minding person you would ever meet. He treated people with respect and kindness. Since the closing of Waconia I have since had the pleasure along with my brother Eldon meeting Dave and Joann at Houby Days in Czech Village. Such a loss of a fantastic friend. As a fellow Veteran I salute you Dave. My thoughts and prayers to the family. Gary J. Kilberger

I am so sorry for your loss. My husband BOB surely did appreciate David's keeping up with the '45 class from Wilson. He enjoyed the news of other class members and the few telephone visits he shared with David. May God comfort you at this time.

My condolences to Joan and family. My dad was a classmate of Dave's at Wilson. I knew Joan when she managed The Broken Drum during the lunch hour, near our family business , Midwest Metal Products on 66th Ave SW. Joan spoke warmly of those great high school memories with Dave. I never met Dave. My loss! Another great one from "The Greatest Generation" had left us. Let's all help to teach our kids and grandkids the same values Dave lived by. May he rest in eternal peace and enjoy the weather up there! Kevin Urban

David was my first-ever supervisor during summer work way back in 1970, and was one of the best. Since that time, he remained a good friend; I was always welcome at the Brunius home for a visit when in Cedar Rapids. I will be always grateful for his generous sharing of information on family and business history. He will be greatly missed. Our sincerest condolences to Joan, Bob, Gail, and Mark. Jerry and Lois Wessale

My sympathy to Joann and the family. Dave was my first leadman at Waconia Sorghum Co. One of a kind individual that lead, as well as mentored. Was always great finding Dave and Joann at 16th Ave. Houby Day's eating a Czech pastry. Thoughts and prayers to the family. Eldon and Karen Kilberger

Sorry for your loss. I worked with Dave at CPI Sales. Your in my prayers.
