Wilma Ida Kibler, 93, of Hiawatha, formerly of Cedar Rapids died Friday, September 23, 2016, at Hiawatha Care Center after a brief illness. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Certified Celebrate Jim Parton officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel.  Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Wilma was born November 13, 1922 in Mason City, Iowa to Glenn and Pauline (Craft) Margretz. Wilma married George Byron Kibler on December 13, 1941. They had two sons, George (Pat) and Ronald (Paula Ann). In addition to her devoted son Ronald, Wilma is also survived by five granddaughters, Kristine (Russ) Morgan, Kimberly (Paul) Hook, Angela (the late Gordon) Merritt, Melissa (Chris) Mashek, and Megan (Jason) Cepaitis, ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Philip Kibler and friend Cheryl Aitker, two sisters-in-law Elizabeth Stanerson and Tamae Margretz, and many nieces and nephews. 

Wilma was proceeded in death by her loving husband George, son George, parents, two brothers, and four sisters. 

Wilma worked at Square D where she started on the same day as her twin sister Wanda and retired with Wanda after 29 years of devoted service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting all sorts of blankets, dolls, doll clothes, and other decorations for her children, granddaughters, and family. She will be greatly missed by those closest to her. 

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care given to Wilma by Hiawatha Care Center and all their staff.   

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Wilma’s name may be made to the Hiawatha Care Center.
