Francis Theodore Molitor, 95, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at his home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 9, 2016 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home officiated by Certified Celebrant Julie Freese. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Francis Molitor was born September 08, 1920 in Waterville, Iowa to Theodore and Clara (Brennan) Molitor. He graduated as valedictorian with the class of 1938 in Waterville. Francis then attended Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. He taught rural school in Northeast Iowa until he was drafted in November of 1942. Francis was honorably discharged in 1946 from the US Army where he was a Sergeant. After this he went to work for Job Service of Iowa and retired after 39 years of service.
