Richard “Rick” W. Brown, 66, of Robins, Iowa, passed away suddenly June 19, 2016 in Branson, MO vacationing with his family.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 11am at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held prior to the funeral service from 10-11am. Private family burial will be at a later date at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Military rites will be presented by the Marine Corp League.
Rick was born on September 25, 1949 in Pomona, California to Burton and Florence (Hill) Brown. Rick graduated from high school from Brookings, SD and went on to obtain multiple college degrees in Cedar Rapids, IA. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He was united in marriage to Sandra Taylor on March 30, 1996 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Rick retired after 34 years from Rockwell. He and Sandy were snow birds to Black Canyon City, AZ. Rick loved “fixing” his motorcycles and old cars, spending quality time in the Party Garage, and loud music. JUST ONE MORE!
Rick is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Sandy and his first wife, Cindy Crotty; loving children: Matthew Brown, Erin (Marc) Chase, Kristen (TJ) Jacobs, and Dan (Karen) Hills; siblings: Lonnie (Cynthia) Brown, Dan (Nancy) Brown, Julie (Jim) Gilde, Jan (Greg) Kleinhesselink, and Nancy (Tony) Wiles; and 5 adoring grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
