Memorial
Norman D. Crawford, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday June 29, 2016. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Pastor Gayle Wilcox of the United Methodist Church. Inurnment: Private at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara, his children; Terry Crawford of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Randy (Amy) Crawford of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Tami (Trevor) Bonnstetter of Mayfield, Kentucky, his brother, Dennis Crawford of Quasqueton, Iowa, His grandchildren; Mitch Crawford, Nick Crawford, Ryan Crawford, Kristin Crawford, Tristan Bonnstetter, Alex Bonnstetter, Connor Gradoville, Luke Gradoville, and two great grandchildren; Lincoln Crawford and Macie Crawford.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Richard, Steve and Brad Crawford.
Norm was born March 9, 1935 in Independence, Iowa, the son of Wilbur and Freda (Heiserman) Crawford. He served in the Army as the Korean war was ending. He married Barbara Thies on September 1, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Norm retired after 39 years from Rockwell; IBEW #1362. He was an active member of Buffalo United Methodist Church. Norm enjoyed buying and trading cars, John Deere Tractors, 2 Cylinder Club, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed the Coffee Club group and helping his family with projects and anyone else needing help. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for charities special to Norm.
