Jack T. Allison, 81, of Cedar Rapids died Thursday June 23, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. Graveside services with military rites at 11:00 AM on Tuesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home after 10:00 AM on Tuesday.
Survivors include three sons, Tom (Rose) of Ely, Jack Jr. of Iowa City and Lewis (Lillian) of Cedar Rapids; a daughter Ellen Allison of Council Bluffs; and a brother Edwin of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jack was born on March 4, 1935 in Des Moines the son of Edward and Myrtle Fisher Allison. Jack was a self-employed T.V. repairman for many years in the Cedar Rapids area.
He enjoyed tinkering with electronics, watching science fiction movies, and proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
Jack will be greatly miss by all who knew and loved him. A memorial fund has been established.
