David Eugene Post, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday June 19, 2016 at his home. Funeral Service: 10:30 am Friday, June 24, 2016 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
David was born January 27, 1931, the son of Wallace and Mary (Serovy) Post in Cedar Rapids. He served in the United States Army. On July 10, 1954, he was married to Marianne Luck. David enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also spent his time gardening and playing games. David was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the American Legion Post #298. More than anything he loved his family and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Survivors include his wife, Marianne Post; son, Jeffrey (Debra) Post; daughter, Jamie (Chris) Dake; two grandchildren, Zachary and Allison Dake; sister, Rosemary Mitchell; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Wally Jr.
