Memorial

Timothy G. Duffy 69, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Family will be available to greet friends starting at 9 AM on Saturday. 

Tim was born on September 8, 1946; the son of LaVerne and Doralene (Kahrs) Duffy. Tim graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from UNI and worked at Rockwell Collins for 35 years. Tim married Sandii Adams on June 22, 1968; they were later divorced. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Brian Duffy, brother-in-law Tom Walding, and nephew SGT Justin J. Duffy in Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Survivors include children, Tasha (Jeremy) Bechen of Marion, Shaene (Miranda) Duffy of Walker. Grandchildren Parker, Mason, Chloe and Amelie, Ashlin. Brother Dennis (Ann) Duffy of CA, sister Kathy Walding of NE, sister-in-law Sharon (John) Willenborg of SC, brother Joe (Jan) Duffy of NE, brother Chris (Pat) Duffy of MN, brother Terry (Sandy) Duffy of MN, brother Pat (Joyce) Duffy of WI, sister Michele (Mike) George of IA, sister Ann (Charles) Kuhlman of IA. Also survived by Tim are many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and very good friends Charlie (Michele) DeBlieck. 
 
A memorial fund has been established in Timothy’s name.
