Margaret Reinier died peacefully January 20th, 2016 at Methwick’s Woodlands in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  She was 101 years young.

Margaret was born Christmas Day, 1914, in Lisbon Iowa to John and Marie Bittle.  She had three half brothers, Gomer, Maynard, and Everette.  Margaret graduated from Cedar Rapids Business College, working at Inter-Ocean Reinsurance and Metro Credit union.  She Married Hugh W. Reinier in Cedar Rapids, IA on June 15, 1947.

Margaret was always known for her love of sewing and living her life by always seeing the silver lining in every gray cloud.  Margaret was a member of the Cedar Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Past President of Amber Grotto Auxiliary.  For over 60 years, Margaret was a member of the First Christian Church of Cedar Rapids, she helped throughout with church dinners, collection drives and member support.  As a resident of the Methwick Community, Margaret continued volunteering at the community store, and as a lifelong reader volunteered at Greenwood’s library.  

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her three half-brothers.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Nazemian (Charlie) of Reno, NV, her two granddaughters Emily Maushardt and Morgan Metzger, her three great grandsons Xander, Kipton, and Declan Maushardt, all of Reno NV.  She was also survived by someone who was near and dear to her, Connie Wildfield and her many nieces and nephews and their families.  

A service will be held at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories on Saturday, January 23rd at 3:00 pm with a reception to follow.
