Frank M. Hendrickson, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday February 10, 2016. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Church where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Norma, his children; Timothy Hendrickson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Heidi (Michael) Probasco of Camdenton, Missouri and his sister, Nellie Klafurich of Pueblo, California. Also Nickolas Silkebakken of Newport Beach, California, Anthony Silkebakken of Lake City, California and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter-in-law, Sandy Hendrickson, 2 sisters and 6 brothers.
Frank was born March 30, 1924 in Bemidji, Minnesota, the son of Charles and Anna (Bailey) Hendrickson. He married Norma Louise Schueler on July 25, 1953 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Frank was employed in engineering at Iowa Manufacturing for 34 years retiring in 1986. He was an active member of Bethany Lutheran Church and served in the US Navy during World War II. He enjoyed reading and the daily crossword puzzle. Family would like to thank Dr. Yacoub, Mercy Dialysis, Melanie with Unity Point Home Care and Keystone Cedars for the care given to Frank.
