Memorial
Larry T. Sillman, 81, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 30, 2016. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 1 PM at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.
Larry was born on May 21, 1935; the son of Henry and Mary (Hindes) Sillman. He served in the Air National Guard for 9 years. Larry worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years. He loved spending time outdoors whether camping and boating with friends or riding the motorcycle; other hobbies included woodworking, and spending time at Rockwell rec center. Larry was a family man, when his children were younger he would spend time with them tobogganing at Jones Park, riding horses, and taking them to the drive-in movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish Larry’s memories is his wife of 60 years Marcy Sillman, Children Mark (Cindy) Sillman, Susan (Jeff) Rager, Carol (Ben) Ampulski, Paul (Michelle) Sillman, sisters Mary Jo Jennings, Louise (Bill) Cowles. Grandchildren: Michelle, Mike, Rebecca, Christopher, Wesley, Jenna, Nicholas, Jordan, Anthony, Ike, Mason, Austin, Skyler and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established.
