Joyce Elaine Stewart, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday December 1, 2016 in St. Luke’s Hospital. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday December 10, 2016 at the Community Savings Bank Community center at 101 Robins Square Robins Iowa from 1:00-5:00pm. Inurnment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her children; Murray Delbert (Patti) Witham of Cedar Rapids, Dennis (Karen) Witham of Tennessee, Debra (John) Ness of Cedar Rapids, Rick (Carrie) Witham of Central City, Connie (Ken) Huber of Cedar Rapids, Scott (Maryellen) Witham of Robins, Daren (Tracie) Witham of Vinton, and Stacy (Thomas) Craft of Iowa City, Also surviving is a sister, Mary (Bernie) Cejka of Hiawatha, a sister-in-law, Charlotte Longfellow of Marengo, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Danny Stewart, brothers, Murray Harlan Longfellow Jr, Edward Longfellow, infant sisters, Charlotte Evelyn, Grace Delores and 4 grandchildren.
Joyce was born June 23, 1935 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Murray and Grace (Vanvelkenburg) Longfellow Sr. Joyce was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and playing cards and dice games
