To Paul and the rest of the family. I am sorry to learn of your fathers passing. Being from the old neighborhood, I remember your father and each of you very well. Hope the lord helps console you and your family in this time of grief. Dying is part of life, hope you all have great memories with you father and husband. Best wishes.

Our condolences on the passing of your father. I remember working with Joe at Smulekoff's and also attending family functions with everyone. May everyone find comfort that Joe is finally at peace. Doug & Marilyn Dyrland.

my sympathy to the Hubbard family. I worked with Joe from 1962-to 1965

I was saddened to hear of Joes death. My first job was working for him at Smulekoffs from 1959-1965. He was a kind fine man. I have warm memories of him. He loved his family and his roses.

I worked for Joe for many years at Smulekoff’s. He ran perhaps the largest, certainly the most complex department at the store. It was a difficult job that he did very well. I saw Joe deal with situations that required a firm but delicate touch, assuring he got what was necessary while retaining the relationship with the customer. It was a pleasure to know him. Dan Rogers
