Keith Sacora went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 5-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home with services being on Friday, September 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Officiating: Pastor Steve Benton.
Keith was born October 9, 1931 in Cedar Rapids, IA. He was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Ellen Rowden, on June 9, 1951 at the Little Brown Church. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather with a delightful sense of humor. Keith enjoyed his vocation as a painting contractor for over sixty years, and will be remembered by many. He loved fishing, listening to Johnny Cash and Gaither Homecoming Gospel music along with a number of good preachers on TV. Being with his family were the times he treasured most, and he is dearly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen; three sons, Rick (Joanne) of Marion, Larry (Michelle) of Robins, Kenny (Kathy) of Colorado; and one brother, Robert of Independence.
He was preceded in death by his parents; precious daughter, Jo Ellen; loving granddaughter, Shelly; and four brothers and five sisters.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Keith’s name to: Brotherhood Prison Ministries for the purchase of Bibles for inmates at Oakdale Prison.
