Harry Allen Lanham, 75, of Lisbon, passed away at home on September 24, 2015, after a courageous 9 year battle with lung cancer.  Services will be held on Monday at 11 AM, with a visitation beginning at 10 AM, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Harry was born March 20, 1940 in Mammoth, West Virginia to Sylvia M. (Pauley) and Clifton F. Lanham.  He graduated from Cedar Grove High School, Cedar Grove, West Virginia.  After moving to Iowa, he married Janet Yirkovsky Lanham.  While being an avid carpenter, his final working days were spent working with Asbestos Workers Local 81, retiring in 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Janet; their children, Jessica Lanham, Marcia Yirkovsky, Marvin Yirkovsky, Darren Yirkovsky, Corinna Hanrahan, David Yirkovsky, Dane Yirkovsky, and Ken Armstrong; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a sister Sue Barnett. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings, a daughter Lisa and a son Brad.

Harry’s family would like to thank Dr. Clayton Schuett, and his team, Dr. Deborah Wilbur and her team, all the nurses at Hall Perrine Chemo Center and hospice, especially Christa and Beth, for their care and concern for Harry during his journey.  He had a special place in his heart for each and every one of them.
