Steven David Moss, 61, of Hiawatha, died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, November 18, 2015.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories by Cedar Memorial Certified Celebrant Amy Hart. A visitation will be on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his sons, Shane Moss of Cedar Rapids and Cory (Tania) Moss of Hiawatha, his parents, Howard and Arlene Moss of Cedar Rapids, his brothers, Howard (Terry) Moss of West Branch, Rick (Kathi) Moss of Cedar Rapids and Gary (Joy) Moss of Farmington, IL. Grandchildren; Mat and Sarah Kaas. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a grandson, Cory S. Moss.
Steven was born on January 17,1954 in Cedar Rapids. He was employed with Iowa Electric. Steven enjoyed drag racing and tinkering in the garage, watching Nascar, scootering down the trail during the summer months and listening to his music. He was well known to modify everything that didn’t necessarily need to be modified and making a significant impression on everyone he met. His disabilities never held him back and would always say “it could be worse” even during his last days.
