Memorial

Shirley Dianne Bleeker, age 65, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, November 16, 2015.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2015 at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  Interment will take place at the Palo Cemetery.

Shirley was born November 3, 1950 in Cedar Rapids to William and Virginia (Swallom) Kysely.  She worked as a beautician and homemaker, and finished her career with GE Capital, retiring in 2012.  She was united in marriage to Ross Bleeker on December 30, 1983 at the Palo Methodist Church.

Shirley enjoyed being with her family and friends, crafting, and playing slot machines.  She will be dearly missed by her family and all who loved her.

She is survived by her husband Ross; sister Judy Dlouhy of Palo; six brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law; seven nieces; six nephews; and her extended family of brothers and sisters: Keith Chamberlain, Kevin Chamberlain, Oddy Chamberlain, Harlan Chamberlain, Jim Vileta; Judy Bridge, Annelle Vileta, Lisa Chamberlain, and Ravae Chamberlain.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Jeannie Marie Kysely; and brother-in-law Joe Dlouhy.

A memorial fund has been established in Shirley’s name.
