Memorial
Shirley Ann Fenchel, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Heritage Nursing and Rehab Center. Memorial Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held one hour prior to service. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Shirley was born April 3, 1935, the daughter of Virgil and Elsie (Mrazek) Gregory in Cedar Rapids. She was married to Bruce D. Fenchel, and later were divorced. Shirley was a member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church, and business owner of Doctor’s Court in Cedar Rapids. She greatly enjoyed the outdoors. Shirley was a talented gardener and loved being with her plants and flowers.
Survivors include her two sons, Bruce Fenchel of Marion; Steven (Beth) Fenchel of Traverse City, MI; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Emily, Jacob, and Natalie Fenchel; sister, Karen (Tom) Martin of Iowa City; nephew, Gregory Klinger; and niece, Debra (William Cleve) Corlett.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
