Jerry M. Crocker, 80, of Cedar Rapids died Thursday November 26, 2015 at his home. Services with military rites at 10:30 AM on Monday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday.

Survivors include his wife, Mae, a son Tracy (Crystal) of Mendota Heights, Minnesota, two daughters Holly (Bryan) Kortum of Castle Pines, Colorado, Monica (Joe) Fergus of Cedar Rapids, and a sister Romona Sommerfelt of Burlington. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Kelsey, Shane Beckyn, Chad Crocker. Austin, and Blake Kortum, and Chase and Riley Fergus. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers 

Jerry was born on March 10, 1935 in Colchester, Illinois, the son of Francis and Clara Smith Crocker. He graduated from Burlington High School and was a member of the State Football Champs in 1953 and later from the University of Iowa. He married Mae F. Thomas on May 26 1956 in Morning Sun, Iowa.

Jerry was a manager at Rockwell-Collins and retired from there after more than 32 years of service. He was a lifelong fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, especially the football team, the Chicago Bears, Cubs and the Kennedy Cougars. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting mushrooms, as well as proudly serving in the Marines during the Korean War. 

Jerry was a real family man. Enjoying all the holidays and going to his children and grandchildren’s activities and events. 
He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
